A prayer offered with joy and gratitude
Turns into beautiful incense
And comes up before God.
God accepts such a fragrant prayer
And fulfills that heart’s desire.

A person fully loaded with worries and anxieties
Comes to feel discouraged,
Fails to receive an answer to prayers,
And loses the strength to pray.
Evils harbored in heart: resentment and complaint
Stop prayers from being answered.

God wants His beloved children
To offer a prayer with good fragrance in heart.
Even an incomplete person can receive
A precious gift of answer from God
When they try to live in the words of truth
And offer the incense of joy and gratitude.

“If I regard wickedness in my heart, the LORD will not hear.”
(Psalm 66:18)
